One Love, One Miami

Reset, Refocus, Restore

Mission Statement

One Love One Miami is about celebrating our differences and working together in efforts to strengthen our community and better position our university for a brighter future. We are all living in very polarizing times worsened by a recent crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and an enduring crisis, systemic racism, and injustice amongst a countless number of other issues. We cannot ignore the fact the people are tired, hurting, and are seeking support and truth on how to overcome the storms we face. Enough is enough and it is time for us to take the necessary steps to enact bold, creative, and transformative change to support our current students and those to come. This is a call for unification and partnership on every level in an effort to stand as one in improving our university climate.

We are all unique individuals, but there is one thing that we have in common, that is we are all Miamians. This unites us together. When I look back on these college years, I want to be able to say that I love it here, that I enjoy being a Miami student. And I want to make this a shared experience for all Miami students now and in the future. In order to do this, we have set some goals for ourselves if elected, which are to reset, refocus, and restore our efforts in breaking barriers and improving the student experience.
